An overview of Jordan's location
Jordan is nestled between Israel, Palestine, Syria, Iraq and Saudi Arabia. On the Western border, in between Jordan and Isreal, you'll find the famous Dead Sea which, contrary to what its same suggests, is in fact a lake. Jordan is not completely landlocked however: at its very southernmost point it has direct access to the Red Sea via the Gulf of Aqaba.
Jordan has an estimated population of 7.5 million people. Its most densely populated areas are clustered in the North West of the country, while much of the rest of Jordan's suface area is taken up by desert.
